Research Experience

Ph.D. Researcher

2023 – Present

Institute for Future Technologies / Neuroscience Institute Paris

  • Tangible Co-Ideation (co-first author): Multi-agent LLM system with AI Mentors as LLM-simulated expert perspectives on text and image, grounded by a multimodal RAG knowledge base (OCR, cross-modal retrieval); fine-tuning and prompt engineering align each agent with its persona voice. Related-work module queries arXiv, Semantic Scholar, and CrossRef. Within-subjects user study (N=32, 16 pairs), tangible vs. screen-only. ACM DIS 2026 SDC finalist; submitted to ACM UIST 2026.
  • IPheromone (team project): Wearable Raspberry Pi system; each user has a personal LLM agent that builds a structured profile from conversation; agents exchange profiles and reason about compatibility, producing match scores. End-to-end functioning prototype on real hardware. Winner, Connect track at MIT Hard Mode Hardware AI Hackathon 2026.
  • HD-EMG Deep Learning: Continuous finger-force decoding from 224-channel HD-EMG using a causal Transformer (FITLight, FFT-based attention) and a GRU branch (MFTEventGRU); full PyTorch pipeline (dataset, training loop, mixed-precision, hyperparameter sweeps) with low-latency inference for biofeedback.
  • ReTouche: Projection-AR piano-learning system; mixed-methods evaluation: 3-arm comparative study (n=18), longitudinal autoethnography, expert focus group. ACM CHI 2026.
  • Rhythm Karaoke: Millisecond-resolution timing engine for fine motor behavior; powers downstream ML feature extraction. Submitted to Springer Nature (Scientific Reports).
  • 2nd-author contributions: TMS-based motor mapping, haptic feedback prototypes, embedded firmware, and front-end interfaces for collaborator studies.
